Marketing Analyst

 

A leading direct sales company is seeking a marketing analyst to perform marketing program analysis, business performance analysis, web analytics, and reporting. The analyst will carry out quantitative and qualitative analysis to provide meaningful and actionable information to the sales and marketing teams, as well as other business groups.

 

Duties

  • Understands business objectives and translates business questions into analysis plans
  • Gathers, compiles and analyzes historical data by market segment
  • Creates custom queries and extracts data from enterprise databases and other data sources
  • Analyzes website traffic patterns and email campaign performance
  • Applies quantitative methods to analyze the effectiveness and profitability of promotions and incentive programs
  • Provides research, projections and execution support for a broad range of marketing campaigns
  • Develops reports to explain and illustrate research findings

 

Qualifications

BA/BS  in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing, Economics or related field is required. A minimum of 2 years of related experience. A proven combination of analytical and marketing skills with a strong emphasis on quantitative analysis. Demonstrated ability to interpret data, draw conclusions and develop actionable insights. Experience with SQL and database querying tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products. Experience with web analytics tools. Experience with Tableau, PowerPivot, SQL Server Reporting Services desired. Experience in the direct sales industry is a plus.

 

This position will entail frequent contact with representatives of multiple business functions, so strong communication skills are a must. Must be a self-motivated person with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

 

 

The position is located in Marshall, Texas.

Employment status:  Full-time

FLSA status: Exempt

 

Working conditions:  Desk work with insignificant effort other than normal movement, standard office setting, some travel may be required, work hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., some extended hours required. Accommodation offered if needed.

    Description:

    The Senior Information Security Engineer is primarily responsible for the architecture and implementation of software and systems directly attributed to IT Risk reduction, Compliance/Regulatory initiatives, and Industry Best Practice within the client’s infrastructure. The position is an advanced technical position that requires minimal oversight and direction, and should be able to work independently and define project goals and timelines as needed. The Senior Information Security Engineer has an expert understanding of both Network and/or Application based security, and how it can be applied to the enterprise. In addition, the Senior Information Security Engineer has the responsibility for monitoring and response to all Security incidents, alerts, and systems outages. Finally, the Senior Information Security Engineer will provide all documentation in relation to the Primary responsibilities described above.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

    – Identify, document and rate vulnerabilities and known risks to the organization (Application & Network)

    – Design and Implement security controls around identified risks

    – Continue to improve security levels within the client’s environment.

    – Maintain awareness of up-to-date threat and vulnerability profiles, including respective countermeasures.

    – Documenting and diagramming of security infrastructure, security procedures, policies, guidelines, and standards

    – Management and Administration of all existing Information Security Infrastructure components (Firewalls, App Firewalls, IPS, Encryption, VPNs, etc)

    – Provide daily assistance with the maintenance of the IT security environment

    – All other duties as needed or required

    • Education – Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering — Work experience may be substituted

    • Certifications – CISSP, CCNA, CISA or other industry certifications.

    • Experience – 5 years in a technical IT Security role

    • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Especially, during established maintenance windows (2AM-6AM Mon.-Thurs.) (As Needed)

    • Travel requirements up to 20%

    • Expected to work overtime as needed or when required, and be available outside of normal business hours for ‘on-call’ or ‘escalation’ emergencies, including overnight maintenance.

    IT Hiring Remains Strong Despite Economic Fears

    IT hiring has been on the rise since the start of 2011, and IT staffing executives expect that growth to continue through the rest of the year, despite recent bad economic news.

    CIO — IT professionals looking for new jobs need not fear that the recent spate of bad economic news will hamper their job searches. IT staffing industry executives agree that IT hiring in the U.S. will remain robust through the end of the year, bucking renewed fears of a double dip recession recently brought on by stock market corrections, the ongoing debt crisis in Europe and the U.S., and Standard &Poor’s downgrade of America’s credit rating.

    "Despite the economic woes we’ve been hearing about, I haven’t on the ground seen any change in demand [for IT workers]," says Shane Bernstein, managing director of IT staffing firm Q. "In fact, demand keeps increasing. Every week I hear [from our clients], ‘We have a lot more positions coming down the pipeline that we need to fill.’"

    Q works with small, midsize and large companies in technology and other industries. "No one has put budgets on hold. No one has put hiring freezes on," adds Bernstein. "The economy hasn’t affected us yet. This is not to say that it won’t, but I haven’t seen it."

    Andrew Speer, senior vice president of technology services for IT staffing firm Technisource, and Jeff Freeland, CEO of Santa Clara, Calif.-based Astreya, are also bullish about the IT job market through the end of the year. Speer says requests for temporary workers, temp-to-perm hires and permanent placements are all on the rise at Technisource. Consequently, he adds, IT workers are in a "wonderful" position to land new jobs.

    Astreya’s staffing business, which specializes in placing IT infrastructure workers (systems administrators, network engineers and system and network architects), is also growing–by 27 percent over the last year, says Freeland.

    Work as part of the CNC (Configurable Network Computing) Administrator team responsible for the daily technical support of the JD Edwards (JDE) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System.  As Sr. CNC Administrator, you will serve as technical resource on JDE related projects, which includes Releases, Tools, Applications, and Platform Upgrades.

    This position will also maintain the necessary controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of the environments and the software levels, as well as implementing security within JDE. This individual must maintain a close working relationship with the Tech Services Database and Application Services Manager, Linux Systems Administrator, Oracle Database Administrator and JDE Development Manager in the coordination of overlapping responsibilities.

    Requirements:                

    ·         Experience serving as a technical lead for JDE application and tools upgrades, as well as platform upgrades.

    ·         Proficient in utilizing the JDE EnterpriseOne Technical Foundation tools and CNC functionality.

    ·         Extensive knowledge in administering and managing Security and Solution Explorer menus.

    ·         Experience with installation, setup, configuration, package builds and deployments.

    ·         Experience in JDE EnterpriseOne Application and Tools Release upgrades.

    ·         Excellent technical knowledge and experience in server administration, networks, workstations, JDE EnterpriseOne application, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

    ·         Knowledge in configuring and supporting Oracle Business Services applications.

    ·         Proficient in JDE Enterprise One maintenance, monitoring, and tuning activities using JDE Tools in conjunction with Server teams.

    ·         Work with DBA to monitor and troubleshoot application and database performance.

    ·         Build and deploy packages for development, test, and production environments.

    ·         Install and configure new environments as needed.

    ·         Work with Development team to tune and debug applications.

    ·         Monitor and maintain application back-up and disaster recovery procedures.

    ·         Review and install application patches, ESUs, ASUs, and upgrades

    ·         Solid working experience on Unix/Linux Servers, Oracle database, Websphere and Weblogic

    ·         College degree in computer related field or equivalent experience

    ·         Minimum 7 years’ experience in CNC administration

    ·         Has advanced knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.

    ·         Relies on experience and personal knowledge to perform the functions of the job.

    ·         Works well under direct supervision of supervisor.

    ·         Works well independently, as well as within a team environment.

    ·         Demonstrates a “Customer-Centric” minded approach.

    ·         Strong communications and documentation skills.
