Direct-hire Sr Manager of Software Development Opportunity in Dallas, TX

Job Description

Our client is looking for an extraordinary manager passionate about leading a high-caliber Software Development Team to deliver exceptional customer value. The team is responsible for developing new software solutions and features for our Digital Solutions suite of products and our Smart Factory initiatives.


  • Manage day-to-day activities of engineering team using Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Build an effective development organization by driving the recruitment and management of the right engineers
  • Conduct goal setting and performance reviews for each team member
  • Sets attainable goals for each team member to complete during the year
  • Provides guidance to team members to encourage work productivity
  • Resolving performance issues and making revisions when necessary
  • Ensures appropriate procedures and processes are followed when it comes to software development
  • Provide timely updates to the management team and other concerned stakeholders
  • Responsible for mentoring and directing software development personnel with various projects and their activities
  • Keep up to date with the latest development software
  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5 to 7 years of proven experience in leading development teams
  • 5 to 7 years of extensive experience in developing, deploying, and integrating software solutions
  • Experience with building and managing department budgets and forecasts
  • Demonstrated leadership of multi-discipline, high performance work teams and an established track record of managing technical staff through the project development lifecycle phases
  • Preferred experience in DevOps, Cloud Strategy, Continuous Integration, and Agile
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
