About the work
Our client is hiring a hands-on Facilities Manager to lead our US facilities operations and create a safe and efficient work environment that improves business performance and optimizes staff productivity. This individual is also responsible for implementing and managing the company’s Enterprise Health and Safety Program and continued expansion of the company’s US based real estate footprint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of 2 office locations, Dallas and Austin, and additional space as added
  • Oversee and manage relationships with property owners/landlords to ensure good favor and compliance with contractual obligations and all environmental, local, state and federal regulations
  • Design and plan workspaces and coordinate construction and remodeling initiatives
  • Manage and negotiate lease agreements
  • Forecast space requirements and creates plans to meet the company’s growth strategy
  • Support the implementation and management of the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Programs
  • Manage third party portals as it pertains to all EH&S reporting requirements
  • Create emergency preparedness and response plans for all US facilities
  • Prepare training and informational materials on environmental, safety and health policies and procedures
  • Available after hours, weekends and holidays (24/7) for building emergencies

Who you are (Minimum qualifications)

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience
  • You have 5+ years progressively responsible experience in facilities management
  • You have working knowledge of all facets of facility operations (principles and practices of project management, electrical and mechanical systems, health, safety and environmental regulations, construction and maintenance)
  • You are an expert in negotiating and managing vendor contracts and building leases
  • You have experience managing multiple facilities

Ideally you also (Preferred qualifications)

  • Have startup experience (fast paced, dynamic, flexible etc.), highly preferred
