Our Dallas client has an immediate need for 2 possibly 3 contract resources.   Will be expected to start by the end of the month or first week in Feb.  The project length will be 3 possibly 4 months.

The client is looking for Windows resources that can be immediately useful to assist with implementation of Lieberman (PAM) software, as well as other PCI efforts.  Specifically, they need someone that is able to troubleshoot TLS lockdown issues.  The client has a requirement to have their applications running on TLS 1.2 by the end of Feb.  They have several application that will need to have the ciphers locked down from TLS 1.0 to accept TLS 1.2.  These applications are OnBase, Citrix, RightFax, and several custom applications that are using .NET4.5 and Java.  Some of these will be migrated to a front end Proxy, some will be moved to have a front end ARR system used.  There are some that are legacy and we need to identify how to resolve the issue.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred, or equivalent combinaton of education and experience
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in the related field in a large corporation or consulting environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three (3) or more years working knowledge, production support, and configuration experience of relevant systems applications required
  • Three (3) years or more development experience using Java, Java Applets, Servlet / JSP, C++, Java Script, JQuery, Eclipse or ANT
  • Three (3) or more years with experience in test-driven development and object-oriented design
  • Experience with Java IDE, subversion, JBOSS and WebLogic application servers
  • Experience with ETL tools like Microsoft SSIS and familiar with data warehouse technology.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience using Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server or equivalent tracking tool
  • Three (3) or more years of experience with waterfall and agile software development methodologies
  • Two (2) or more years of experience participating on cross-functional, major project initiatives
  • Experience with a minimum of two (2) business domains
  • Experience with supporting different types of implementations including:  enhancement/support projects, new development projects and third party package software
  • Must have strong PC skills and working knowledge with Microsoft Office products, SharePoint and tracking software

 

WORK SCHEDULE:

Business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Extended business hours and weekends will be required.

Description

looking for an experienced, hands-on javascript engineer who can lead our development team and shape our next generation application platforms (angular2+, ionic2, nodejs, nosql). A firm understanding of software development best practices, agile methodologies and scalable, distributed systems are key attributes of a successful engineer. The ability to clearly understand business value and translate that into team leadership that delivers solid technical implementations will be required. Excellent technical and non-technical verbal and written communication skills are also a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hands-on development on our angular2 web and hybrid mobile applications
  • Mentor small to medium size remote team of engineers
  • Help shape our software design process (code review processes, coverage thresholds, etc)
  • Research and identify tools and technologies to improve processes and software
  • Drive agile development methodologies, SDLC best practices and architectural/coding standards
  • Develop proof of concepts to validate new ideas
  • Perform business analysis and interface with business stakeholders
  • Author, edit and present technical documents

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience full-stack coding on large, scalable SaaS applications.
  • 2+ years experience with angular
  • Production experience with angular 2+
  • Experience with reactive programming and functional programming techniques
  • Experience with immutable data stores
  • Solid understanding of microservices and distributed systems
  • Experience with BDD/TDD
  • Organized and pays attention to detail
  • Opinionated and passionate, but not religious, about technology solutions
  • Single Page Application experience
  • Produce high quality code
  • Experience with nosql databases
  • Ability to work remote and be self-motivated/managed
