POSITION SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Designs and implements strategies to optimize use of Helpdesk and Computer Operations resources through employee cross-training

Leads and supports projects and initiatives as required or volunteered for by due dates

Evaluates and facilitate escalation of critical issues to appropriate IT departments

Develops and foster inter-departmental relationships with IT partners within the organization

Coordinates and assures quality of information distributed within the department to enhance efficiency and accuracy of resources available to Helpdesk Agents and Computer Operators

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Tier 2 / Field Tech / Systems Administrator with the drive and determination to help us support our midsized Microsoft based networks, systems and servers in both Dallas and Ft. Worth offices. Individuals will provide network administration for Windows Server 2008R2 / 2012 based systems and Windows 7/8/8.1 user environment desktop support.  Provide support for Active Directory and Office 365. Provide support of LAN, MS domain and related services.  Will support switches and router infrastructure under the direction of senior techs.  VMware / Hyper V experience is a plus.  Will be required to resolve production issues and troubleshoot problems.  Responsible for administration and support of remote systems, applications, and users.  Will be required to write documentation in support of infrastructure.  Greater North Dallas local area travel with remainder of time worked from home-office and West Plano office.  Mileage reimbursed.

 

Current role 70% desktop support with some project work and growth opportunity to Tier 3 / Sr. Network Admin and Project work.  MSP / Managed Services with Connectwise PSA and Kaseya/Labtech RMM experience is a huge plus.
Required Skills:
2-5 years systems administration experience

Microsoft Certified Professional or equivalent education/experience

MS Windows Server

Active Directory

Server Migration or Build exposure

Data backup management

Network Troubleshooting

Strong interpersonal skills required to effectively communicate with users and vendors

Direct-hire Help Desk Manager Opportunity in Dallas, TX

Duties Include:
•    Manage a team of support personnel who troubleshoot IT issues
•    Direct, motivate, and develop the IT staff to maximize their individual contribution to the team and the company
•    Implement policies and procedures
•    Ensure maximum resolution in minimum amount of time
•    Ticketing of all incoming issues via Help Desk management software
•    Ordering and provisioning hardware, software, and supplies for client requests and projects
•    Collaborate with vendors to ensure delivery of materials
•    Minor support and troubleshooting of hardware including laptops, desktops, printers, MFPs, fax machines, iPads, Droids, iPhones
•    Entering and updating of issues in Knowledge Base
•    Support and troubleshooting of issues involving XP and Microsoft Office 2003/2007/2010 (Word, Excel, Outlook), QuickBooks, and other administrative applications
•    Scheduling technical resources for client visits
•    Report Help Desk metrics to owner
