Summary
The Senior Report Developer requires at least 3+ years of experience in report development, data analysis and is proficient in SQL query writing, SSIS, and SSRS. A strong background in business analysis, experience with energy market (Electric/Gas) and experience with QlikView is a plus. The role will be responsible to collect, summarize, analyze data to provide insights that facilitate decision making to help improve the customer experience, measure the success of Company objectives, and provide solutions for departmental reporting needs.

As a Senior Report Developer, the expectation is that you will be performing data validation to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of analytic and/or operational models and reports. This role will also be required to design and automate reports for efficient and timely dissemination to the business units. Provide technical leadership and best practices in the design, development, and deployment of complex data models. The job expectations consists of the understanding of source data models, designing standardized data models within a data mart, and importing data into the data mart using SSIS best practices. Work with various company departments and projects to gather data, perform analysis, and help the business measure effectiveness. Work with and adhere to the report development framework and work with the team to make adjustments as needed to comply with development, infrastructure, and project management processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Contribute to the development lifecycle including gathering and understating of requirements, database and report development using SQL Server 2008 R2/2012
Develop stored procedures for use in analysis and reporting
Knowledge of building dashboard, scorecards, and KPI’s
Create queries to provide ad hoc reports, analysis, and datasets based on business needs
Troubles shoot data issues, validate result sets, recommend and implement process improvements Develop database views to extract data via a consistent means for ETL processes using SSIS
Analyze existing complex systems to understand and document data elements, relationships, data flow, dependencies and their related interfaces
Gather business and technical requirements, write high-quality requirements documents
Work with Infrastructure team on user access, server administration and troubleshooting reporting environment
Perform Unit testing and resolve defects
Analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical solutions
Good problem solving skills and interpersonal skills
Excellent technical communication skills
Maintain a high level of morale
Willingness to learn and develop Qlikview reports. Administer and maintain Qlikview servers.
Willingness to learn about businesses, understand data/energy

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
3+ years of experience in the following skill sets:
SQL Server 2005 / 2008 / 2008 R2 / 2012 / 2014 Database Development
Full command of T-SQL for purposes of loading and transforming data with requisite business logic
Generate complex queries for reporting purposes.
SSIS – Integration Services
Design / Develop SSIS Packages
Scalable / Reusable ETL Components
Complex Business Logic
ETL – Extract / Transform / Load
Design / Implement / Performance Tune ETL Processes
SSRS – Reporting Services
Design / Develop Customized Reports / Dashboards
Design / Develop Reporting Portals
Manage Subscriptions / Delivery Methods
File Sharing within SSRS – Reporting Services
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent related experience
3+ years of experience in developing reports
Managing and prioritizing multiple tasks, work under tight release schedules
Good knowledge of standard concepts, best practices, and procedures within a Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence environment
PREFERRED (but not required)
EPM – Enterprise Performance Management – Dashboards / Scorecards and Design / Develop KPIs
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
A background with other market-leading BI tools would be highly desirable (Qlik, Tableau).
Qlikview load script, data modeling, data security and expression is a plus
Some exposure to Qlikview Server side Administration and Publisher is a plus
Experience with the retail energy markets (Electricity and Gas) or Mobile services  is a plus
Experience building cubes in SSAS (preferred but not required)
