Summary:

This individual will be tasked with ensuring the day-to-day health, security and stability of our infrastructure. Monitoring system performance, backup cycles and investigating system alerts are among the daily tasks. They will be the voice of the infrastructure support team during scheduled maintenance or system outages. The Infrastructure Administrator will be tasked with handling infrastructure ticket queues as part of their daily duties. The candidate must be able to handle multiple timelines to complete tasks on time and engage customers to provide status info and resolution. The Infrastructure Administrator must be honest, accurate and professional in all their daily interactions with team members, business partners and residents. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background across multiple IT vendor solutions as well as exceptional communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities:
• Participate in Proof of Concept deployments to support the infrastructure engineers.
• Ensure Service Delivery for all application and their supporting system components.
• Document, maintain and verify stability of production systems.
• Make yourself available for knowledge transfer to all levels within the IT organizations.
• Recognize variance from a deployed specification to maintain configuration management.
• Monitor all system performance and identify bottlenecks.
• Ensure system security by monitoring alerts and staying current with security bulletins.
• Make sure system backups are functioning properly and test per policy.
• Make sure ticket queues are being handled in a timely manner.
• First line troubleshooting of complex network, storage and compute issues.

Qualifications:
2+ years’ experience supporting WinTel systems
Experience with virtualization platforms, with a focus on Microsoft HyperV environments.
Solid understanding of server clustering, cloud technologies and core infrastructure hardware.
Working knowledge of enterprise printing and faxing.
Working knowledge of MS Exchange, Office 365 and Skype for Business
Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, disaster recovery and backup technologies.
Solid understanding of MS SQL, IIS, SCCM, SCOM and antivirus applications.
Excellent soft-skills and analytical skills, a self-starter who can work independently.
MCSE/MCITP or other infrastructure certifications are a plus.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering
    • Minimum eight (8) years of experience supporting large multivendor networks, ten (10) years experience is preferred
    • Minimum four (4) years of experience engineering and supporting large multivendor voice and data networks
    • CCIE Certification is desired; CCNA a minimum

                  RESPONSIBILTIES:

                  As a key member of the IT Operations Leadership team the Hardware Services Manager role is to manage the Hardware Services team members and ensure timely, consistent, superior hardware support and output quality, manage various hardware related projects, oversee daily Hardware Services production line team functions and serve as T1/2 escalation point. The Hardware Services Manager manages all things hardware related including desktop, laptop, kiosk and tablets.

                  QUALIFICATIONS:

                  • Exceptional knowledge of computer hardware in an enterprise environment
                  • In-depth knowledge of image creation and capture technologies and methods
                  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and SCCM
                  • Experience managing and creating Active Directory OU’s and Group Policy objects

                  • Knowledge of a range of diagnostic tools and utilities
                  • Use of metrics data as well as key performance indicators to identify common problems and gauge department and team performance.

                  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

                  • Coordinate and/or perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware and configuring systems and applications
                  • Diagnose system hardware, software and operator issues
                  • Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources
                  • Create and maintain PC images in a MDT, SCCM environment
                  • Provide remote support as needed
                  • Assess need for system reconfigurations (minor or significant) based on request trends and make recommendations
                  • Log all end user interaction in help desk ticketing system ensuring accurate and adequate annotation
                  • Recommend and/or perform remedial actions to provide resolution
                  • Ensure proper, timely and professional responses from team to hardware support requests

                    As a key member of this client company’s IT Infrastructure team the Systems Engineer will be responsible for major stages of the systems life cycle.
