Job Tips and Job News – Is Your Resume Making it Easy For the Recruiter to Eliminate You From Consideration?

As an Executive Recruiter and Certified Professional Resume Writer / Executive Resume Writer, the majority of resumes that I review have serious flaws which often demonstrate poor communication skills, as well as the lack of attention to detail. In today’s highly competitive job market even a simple typo is enough to disqualify a candidate. A poorly worded sentence may give the HR Manager a momentary chuckle but since your resume is supposed to be an example of your best work, they are unlikely to forgive the mistake.

The ability to write well and communicate their value does not come easily to the majority of job seekers. Does this mean that the job seeker is unqualified and unable to do an outstanding job in the position? Absolutely not! A smart recruiter recognizes this and will often refer a potential candidate to a professional resume writer for assistance.

Job Tips and Job News – Cloud apps adoption can create IT staff unrest

IT professionals may worry about losing their jobs when on-premise systems are replaced with SaaS

CIOs and IT managers know they must address concerns like security, compliance, service levels and end-user resistance when moving to cloud-based enterprise software, but they must not overlook a critical area: the feelings of their IT staffers.

When companies decide to unplug on-premise servers, ditch the applications housed on them and adopt vendor-hosted software in the cloud, the IT staffers in charge of supporting and maintaining those discarded in-house systems are bound to get nervous.

Dallas News: Experts at Dallas cyber summit say speed essential in fight against high-tech crime

"We have to move at a speed that, frankly, these collaborations have not traditionally been capable of."

Cybercriminals certainly are speeding up.

According to the FBI, the cost of online scams and fraud for Americans more than doubled from 2008 to 2009, reaching nearly $560 million.

The organizers of the Worldwide Cybersecurity Summit planned from the beginning for the event to be a launching pad for concrete results.

The biggest component of the conference organized by the EastWest Institute was a series of workshops where attendees – security professionals, government officials and business executives – worked with industry experts to craft suggestions for how their industries could prepare for cyberattacks.
