1) Cost – The cost of postage keeps rising, and multiply that cost by the number of Cover Letters and Resumes you send out – it really adds up. An email with a formal introduction, and an attached word document, PDF, or link costs nothing each time you send since it’s already included in internet fees that you wouldn’t dare go without.
