Overview

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Should be able to develop and maintain every layer of the application stack: front end, middle tier, and database
  • Work as a member of a development team to develop and produce, resolve issues with quality, and coordinate with other developers to deliver the application. Perform root cause analysis and provide robust solutions to post-implementation requirements changes or customer-reported issues
  • As a technical expert, may sometimes need to work with the business to help design the best product.

 

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • ​5+ years web application development experience with the Microsoft .NET platform
  • Experience in C#, XML, and Web Services (Web API, WCF)
  • Experience  in AngularJS is preferred
  • Experience in SQL Server and demonstrated proficiency with SQL, stored procedures, SQL server management
  • Experience in VB.NET is a plus
  • Thorough understanding of object-oriented development (OOD), including an in-depth knowledge of implementing design patterns and architectures
  • Full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) experience including gathering requirements, design, development, testing, documentation, etc.
  • Familiarity with versioning software like TFS
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills, working in a team environment

    Job Summary:

    Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

    Perform a variety of programming assignments requiring knowledge of established programming procedures and data processing requirements. Develop, install, maintain, and modify advanced scientific and/or engineering application programs, business application programs, or integrated programs.

    • Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, databases, and programming technology.
    • Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities.
    • Refine data and format final product.
    • Maintain and modify programs; make approved changes by amending flow charts, develop detailed programming logic, and coding changes.
    • Test and develop programming modifications.
    • Write new program code using prescribed specifications.
    • Evaluate interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part.
    • Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor.
    • Confer with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs.
    • Resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls.
    • Write and maintain programming documentation.
    • Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
    • Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
    • Give guidance, training and task coordination to entry level employees.
    • Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource.
    • Perform and/or assist with software installations of internally developed applications.
    • Provide on-the-job training to new department staff members as required.
    • Provide training on internally developed applications to new company staff as required.
    • Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Skills/Competencies required:

      Our downtown Dallas, TX client is looking for a Direct-hire Sr Systems Engineer.

      RESPONSIBILITIES:

      As a key member of the company IT Infrastructure team the Systems Engineer will be responsible for major stages of the systems life cycle. An ideal candidate will be a high performing individual who is able to handle large scale projects and work closely with teams throughout the organization. Soft-skills are a major component of this individual’s toolkit along with their technical efficacy. This individual will be tasked with ensuring the day-to-day health, security and stability of our infrastructure.       QUALIFICATIONS:

        REQUIREMENTS

        Five (5) or more years working knowledge, production support, and configuration experience of relevant systems applications required.
