Direct-hire Senior Financial Analyst Opportunity with Great Company in Frisco, TX
What you will be doing
Under general direction of the Finance Manager and Sr. Director, performs various financial analyses a business unit of the client company, including, but not limited to, pricing and strategic analysis, month-end and quarter-end variance analysis, and strategic project support.. Provides financial reporting to management to ensure revenues and expenses are monitored and operational issues are highlighted and addressed.
Analyzes monthly financial statements and operating expenses.
Prepares monthly financial analysis and reports, including monthly forecast and progress to budget updates
Directly supports Business Development team of ICS, including prospective client pricing analysis and strategic support.
Analyzes gross margin components on a monthly basis and reports significant variances.
Generates ad hoc analysis reports as needed.
Contributes to monthly, quarterly and annual forecast and budget updates, including analysis and messaging strategy.
Performs related duties as assigned.
What your background should look like (minimum qualifications)
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year Bachelor’s Degree program, . Normally requires a minimum of four (4) to six (6) years directly related and progressively responsible experience. Experience with Baan General Ledger System and Hyperion is a plus. MBA preferred.
Knowledge of various financial management areas such as financial statement analysis, business law, budget development, productivity and profitability analysis.
Understanding of ABC policies, philosophy, goals and objectives to affect financial oversight in protecting the company’s assets.
Working knowledge of accounting and planning software packages.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
Ability to follow and interpret profit and loss statements, along with the balance sheet
Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
