Account Exec/Sales Rep Opportunity in Dallas, TX with Great Company

Dallas, TX

This position is responsible for developing sales opportunities, working with end-user prospects to develop solutions to fulfill their IT needs for their particular organization.  As necessary, must work closely with manufacturer sales reps and assist marketing in driving attendance to local events.  Must be responsible for developing relationships and appropriate pipeline to achieve required results.

 

  • Major responsibilities: (Primary accountability for specific functions and results)
  • Final responsibility for customer proposals through configuration and quote generation
  • Must have knowledge of company product offerings or be willing to learn.
  • Sales certifications desired
  • Act as main focal point for any active local demand generation campaigns, provide potential prospects
  • Understand all current program offerings and pricing for solutions marketed
  • Provide weekly status updates for active sales opportunities to VP of sales
  • Work closely with pre-Sales Technical Architects to develop sales opportunities
  • Understand the resources within company and at suppliers that can be used to help close sales opportunities and know when and how to engage them
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales and gross profit goals

 

Additional Responsibilities:

Complete detailed account planning documentation for all major accounts as set by VP of Sales

 

Travel:

Minimal, for external education and national sales meetings. Local travel will be required.

 

Basic Specifications (to perform at a proficient level and to be fully qualified, a person would be expected to have)

 

Education:

Undergraduate degree, preferably in computer science or marketing

Experience:

Experience in prospecting, managing complex sell cycles, customer relationship management, and selling technology-based solutions. Minimum of three years field sales experience in high-tech industry required.
