Our client specializes in high quality, fast turn, full color 100% offset printing.  We are a progressive manufacturing company operating from over 200,000 square feet across multiple facilities.  We are currently searching for a Sr. UX Developer to join the development team at our corporate location.


The ideal candidate for this position had knowledge of Javascript Inheritance patterns and Javascript performance best practices.
  An individual in this position should also have experience with jQuery or similar Javascript libraries.

 

Additional Responsibilities Include:

·         Semantic Markup

·         CSS

·         Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3

 

Preferred Qualifications Include:

·         Knowledge of .NET, C#

·         Knowledge of ASP.NET MVC

·         Knowledge of SVG and VML

Contract Network Engineer Opportunity with Great Company in Fort Worth, TX

Heavy Travel Involved – up to 75% based out of Fort Worth

Must have CCNP and/or CCSP

Duties will require mid-level skill set CCNP/CCSP (Network/Security).

The client prefers only people with both skill sets.  However, there will are 4 positions and 2 teams of 2, so strong skills in either might work in a team situation.

Experience in both is acceptable in lieu of certifications.

Wireless skill set would be a plus.

The general day-to-day tasks would be as follows:

·         Upgrading IOS on routers and switches.

·         Pre-configuration and Installation of a client-provided ‘gold standard’ (Client’s approved feature set), along with the generic configuration.

·         Drop shipping the pre-configured hardware to the remote offices and then travel to the locations in order to perform an R&R (remove and replace) the old equipment with the new.

·         This may also include climbing on a roof to swap out wireless antennas or replacing wireless access-points in ceilings.

·         Candidates should have good mechanical skills, as well as attention to detail.

The client says the work schedule is 4 days (10 hours days) on and 3 days off.

Also 3 weeks in the field and then 1 week back in Ft. Worth offices prepping the next remote equipment.

12-14 month commitment. Candidates must contract for the entire length of the project, no exceptions.

Candidates must also be local to the Ft Worth area in order to car-pool to the remote locations.

Client’s CCIE’s will provide the brain work, however, the candidates should have some ability to perform independent thought, (problem solving skills) for dealing with un-foreseen problems.

Work in the remote locations may be ‘less than ideal’ at times.

It may be “hot and dirty”, and the hotel accommodations at times will be sub-par.  Some of these places only have a run-down motel, or it may mean staying in a trailer at the drill site.

Some locations where work is to be completed that may have nothing more than gas and oil platforms in the middle of “No-Wheresville”.

Need candidates that don’t mind getting their hands dirty, but can still exhibit professionalism while representing the client.

POSITION SCOPE:

a. Ensure that all process improvement initiatives follow the appropriate change management and IT work documentation requirements

b. Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements and process re-engineering efforts

c. Implement appropriate measures and controls for all IT processes

d. Develop and deliver written communications as well as make presentations to introduce, educate and update as required

e. Team building and group facilitation, compiling and tracking data and preparing training materials

f. Develop standard metrics, diagramming process workflows (including inputs and outputs) to identify opportunities for improvement

g. Develop project plans for implementing improvements and monitor new processes to ensure they are followed and function as intended

h. Measure progress, increase efficiencies, and enhance process maturity based on applicable IT process standards best practices.

i. This position is temporary and ends on 12/15/2011.

3. CORE SKILLS:

a. Food and beverage industry experience preferred

a. 7 or more years of work experience in managing process improvement

b. Strong understanding of and ability to engineer and improve IT work processes

c. Strong understanding of IT economics and drivers of economic success

d. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

e. Strong capability to execute tasks with a precise attention to detail

f. Ability to coach and influence others across organization levels and roles

g. Strong documentation capabilities

h. Knowledge of process frameworks (e.g. ITIL, COBIT, etc.)

Perry gives $2.45M to lure new IT firm to Richardson

Gov. Rick Perry Has announced $2.45 million in state incentives for a high-tech company to establish its headquarters in Richardson.

Perry announced the Texas Enterprise Fund investment for The Virtual Computing Environment Co. at the Richardson Chamber of Commerce annual meeting on Tuesday.

The project is expected to create “434 high-paying jobs and generate an estimated $35 million in capital investment,” according to a press release from the Richardson chamber.

Contract IT Procurement Specialist

POSITION SCOPE:

IT Procurement Specialist performs key activities in the area of procurement, asset management and supplier strategy, management and governance. The IT Procurement Specialist focuses on the execution of procurement activities, including the administration and oversight of the IT procurement process as well as tactical interactions with suppliers, contract negotiations, asset management processes and supplier governance activities, including measuring and monitoring supplier contracts and renegotiating contracts when necessary. Tracks and enforces service level and operating level agreements (SLAs and OLAs) in standard master services agreements. Maintains an “approved supplier list” and evaluates suppliers when needed to determine sourcing options. Has broad discretion in making tactical decisions and contributes to strategic decision making process. Decisions and achievement of results generally has a significant impact on the group’s overall success. Expected to propose innovative, high-impact changes in processes or strategies. This position is temporary and ends on 6/30/2011.

CORE SKILLS:

a. Excellent understanding of supplier management and asset management principles

b. Experience conducting strategic sourcing projects (RFx) for all IT related commodities

c. Ability to negotiate supplier agreements – commercial as well as non-commercial terms

d. Ability to develop and implement supplier metrics that improve quality, costs and benefits

e. Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills

f. Good time management skills and multi-tasking ability

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

a. Bachelor’s Degree (Required) in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration

b. Graduate Degree (Preferred)

c. CPSM or CPM (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE

a. 5 or more years of work experience in Fortune 500 companies in Strategic Sourcing, Supplier management, Asset management and/or IT procurement areas

b. 7+ years of work experience

6. TERM:

a. The contract shall be in effect until 6/30/2011. The services outlined will commence immediately after completion of negotiations and award of contract.

b. Client reserves the right to extend the contract for additional time, subject to the mutual agreement between client and the supplier.
