Contract Desktop Operations Support Opportunity in Fort Worth, TX

 

Positions: 3

Contract Period: 9 – 12 Months

 

·         5 years’ experience providing desktop support for at least 400 internal clients

·         Support includes the configuration, installation, and maintenance of desktop equipment and associated software.

·         A thorough knowledge and practical experience in updating, configuring and troubleshooting PC operating systems (primarily Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows 7).

·         Technically proficient in updating, configuring, and troubleshooting a diverse PC applications environment that includes but not limited to suites from Microsoft, Lotus and Corel.

·         Experience with system imaging software (Ghost, Altiris, etc.).

·         Must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of PC hardware.

·         Familiar with use of remote control software for support and maintenance.

·         Ability to travel overnight to fields offices.

·         Must demonstrate the ability to consult with clients to increase the efficient use of technology.

·         Maintain the hardware and software environment we support.

·         The installation of desktop PCs, printers, operating systems and application software in corporate and field offices.

·         Provide solutions to software, hardware or configuration problems that arise in the desktop environment.

·         Maintain a high level of client satisfaction through effective communication and prompt resolution.

·         Fully participate in managing daily activities through the use of a call tracking system.

·         Assist other desktop analysts, network analysts, application developers and IT personnel as necessary.

·         Excellent time / task / project management skills.

 

Experience with Lotus Notes is a plus.  

· Ability to work in a team environment
· Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
· Good overall knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems (Windows 7 preferred)
