Contract Computer Operator Opportunity in Johnson City, TN – 6 Months Contract
LOCATION: Johnson City, TN
POSITION SCOPE: This temporary position is in our Johnson City, TN location. Under general direction, monitors and controls one or more mini or mainframe computers by operating the central console or on-line terminals.
Mounts and dismounts tapes required for daily backup rotations.
Executes processes necessary to produce required reports.
Monitors assigned systems.
Performs functions as described in the Operations Policies and Procedures Manual.
Monitors all systems for irregularities.
Maintains Data Center cleanliness and security.
Reports variations from expectations to the appropriate person.
Completes the Daily Report.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Skill in organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
Strong team player who is able to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
