Direct-hire Storage Sales Engineer Opportunity with Great Company in Middle Tennessee or Southern Kentucky Area

Position Summary:

Under the guidance of the Sales and Operations Executives, the Storage Sales Engineer’s primary focus is to work with the Sales team to identify and develop opportunities for Storage sales and managing the storage sales pipeline.  The Engineer will spec applications and develop value added solutions by incorporating the appropriate hardware and software.  The Engineer will work with Management and Engineering on complex systems.  The ideal candidate will have functioned as a client-facing storage consultant.  This individual should have the ability to interface with management; as well as other Engineers to validate designs and configurations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work to identify and target prospective customers.
  • Collaborate with client company, customer and manufacturer Engineers.
  • Perform application studies, develop value added solutions and generate proposals.
  • Work as a team member on large, complex engagements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must reside in Middle Tennessee or Southern Kentucky, relocation is not available.
  • Must be willing to travel within a 200 mile radius of Nashville, TN and maintain a flexible work schedule.
  • Proven track record of sales success.
  • Effective presentation, analytical, verbal and written communications, customer relationship and interpersonal skills.
  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude.
  • Must have effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Must demonstrate a desire to learn new technologies.
  • Must be able to work in an environment where interruptions occur.
  • Must possess the ability and discipline to work independently.
  • Must be resourceful, results oriented, able to multi-task and able to operate under pressure.
  • Must be competitive and goal oriented.

 

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, sales, marketing or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Industry certifications preferred.
